Summer Stay Advisory
No Air Conditioning
As part of our commitment to guest satisfaction, we wanted to inform you that Bow View Lodge does not have air conditioning.
We understand that this might raise some concerns, especially during the warmer daytime temperatures. However, Banff typically experiences significant temperature drops in the evening and overnight, providing a cooler and more comfortable environment.
Committed to Transparent Communications
Our location on the Bow River means that we benefit from cool air flows in the evenings, providing a comfortable sleeping environment.
During the day: keep curtains closed to block out excess heat from the sun.
Increase air flow: each room is equipped with a fan. We suggest placing it near the balcony door / window at night to draw in cool air. If you need an extra fan, please contact the front desk, and we will provide one.
In the evening: open windows / balcony door to allow the cooler nighttime air flow into your room.
Little Acts, Lasting Effects
For your peace of mind, utilize the drop pin on the bottom of sliding door to secure the balcony door in place, allowing for fresh air to circulate.
If you find the duvet too warm, there is a light fleece blanket stored in the closet. Feel free to utilize the blanket for a cooler, more comfortable sleep. If you move forward with this option, our housekeeping team will make your bed utilizing the lighter blanket for the remainder of your stay.
Helpful Tips
If you need a quick way to cool down, the Bow River is right at our doorstep and offers instant relief. The Bow View Lodge team will gladly provide you with a towel for your dip. Please keep in mind that the river is glacier fed and remains incredibly cold, even on the hottest summer days.
